FCS Grimsby
Grimsby is situated 6miles/10km from the open sea and can accommodate vessels with
maximum LOA of 140m, draught of 7.5m on Spring Tides, and beam of 20m.
Freshney Cargo Services is the leading operator in cargo handling at the Port of
Grimsby. Continuing investment in facilities has seen the Terminal grow to a 30
acre/12ha site, with more than 200,000 square feet/18,500m2 of enclosed warehousing
and large extensive hard-standing open storage areas.
Cargoes handled at Freshney’s Grimsby Terminal include Forest Products (mainly timber),
Steel, Pig Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, General Cargo, Drybulks including Grain, Fertilisers
and Minerals, and loose/palletised bags and cartons (e.g. Potatoes and Frozen Fish).
Additional materials handling and processing services are offered on site, including
Packaging (bagging, palletisation, stretch/shrink wrapping), Screening/Crushing
(removal of fines or grading), and Blending/Mixing.
A heavy duty elevated conveyor at Grimsby allows for the rapid loading (in excess
of 1 tonne/minute) of bulk materials to tanker transport in all weathers.
FCS Immingham
FCS Immingham can accommodate vessels with a maximum LOA of 155m on the Eastside
and 145m on the Westside. Maximum Draught acceptable at the Terminal is 7.2m, and
Maximum beam is 26m.
The Terminal has twice-weekly calls by Sea-Cargo, operators of Ro-Ro, Sto-Ro
and Conventional services between a number of west coast Norwegian ports and
the UK East Coast.
A regular Lo-Lo service operated by Atlantsskip runs between Kovapogur in Iceland
and the Freshney Immingham Terminal.
